The mission of North Texas Pop Warner is to serve kids and youth with an uncompromising standard of excellence whereby each Association experience ongoing growth in the number of youth it serves every year; create an environment of progressive change that benefit kids, families, and the community as a whole; and develop a comprehensive funding and resource plan that will enable each Association to prosper and provide quality programs that benefit children.
Who do we serve?
North Texas Pop Warner oversees all of Pop Warner’s football, cheer and dance associations are located in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Collin, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall, Johnson, Navarro, Wise, Parker, Hood, Palo Pinto, Erath, and Somerville counties.
Southwest Region, they say everything is bigger in Texas and with the majority of our 213 Spirit teams residing in Texas; added with our increasingly growing teams from Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma, we think the Southwest Region is fantastic!
The mission of the Southwest Region is to grow and develop all team members to their fullest potential. We start by teaching our new members the basic fundamentals of cheerleading and dance, then help build and expand upon the skills of the more experienced participants.
At North Texas Pop Warner, we believing in enhancing your child's football/cheer experience.
-To encourage and increase youth participation in football, cheerleading and dance.
-To ensure a safe and positive playing environment for all participants.
-To instill life-long values of teamwork, dedication and a superior work ethic in the classroom and on the playing field.
-Pop Warner programs have no tryouts or cutting of rosters.
-Everyone participates under mandatory rules of play.
-On-field coaching is allowed for younger age levels.
-Individual awards are given only for academic excellence, not for on-field activities.
Safe Playing Environment
-Players are matched by age and weight levels.
-There are strict mandatory equipment requirements.
-Pop Warner provides Coaching Clinics and Risk Management Training.
-An enforced national rule book incorporates time-tested rules.
-A full-time executive staff supports all local associations and assists in sound policy creation.
